“Thank you for finding my daughter such a wonderful tutor. She has been very professional, and my daughter has enjoyed working with her.”

— Faye S., Monrovia

Learning doesn't stop when you toss your graduation cap into the air.

And learning does not have to be limited to the classroom. At Inspire In-Home Tutoring, we understand the Tutoring for Adultsunique needs of our adult clients. While children often require a more comprehensive approach, adult students will often want or need to narrow down what is covered to a specific area or areas. (But if you need us to cover it all, no problem. We can do that too!) We know that you may be working full or part time. We understand that you may have a family and other responsibilities. We also know that you might have not looked at a Mathematical equation since you closed that high school Math book for the last time. Relax. We get it, and we are here to help you. Inspire In-Home Tutoring provides tutoring for all subjects and all ages, and we offer the following types of tutoring for adults.

Tutoring for college students

College students range in age from a select few child prodigies, to a 95-year old American woman who completed her college degree in 2007. Whether you started college right out of high school, or just lived life between then and now, we can help make sense of those college courses. Your Inspire Tutor will be someone who is experienced in the higher education subject(s) with which you need help. College courses often are offered in a sequence (ie., semester A and semester B.) Please request a tutor as soon as you feel the need for some extra help. You may pass a class in the first semester, but if you do not grasp the concepts from the beginning, the second semester may prove to be much more difficult. Make sure you take courses in order whenever possible.

Tutoring for personal/professional growth

Let's face it. Geography might not have been at the top of your list in the tenth grade, but maybe you are interested in it now. Many adults find that with their formal education behind them, they are in a great place to review old material, or learn something new. We have many adults who want to learn a language, for instance, and choose to work with a private tutor instead of taking a class. Nowadays, most Americans change careers more than once in their lives. Beginning a new career often requires learning new skills, or brushing up on old ones. So, if your chosen career path requires you to refresh your Math or Writing skills, for example, just give us a call. We can help you prepare for any tests you may need to take, or just improve your skills overall.

A Final Note

We are all at different places in life. Maybe you need help finishing a Master's Thesis, or maybe you are ready to take your GED or college entrance exam. Wherever you are, focus on where you are going. As the 95-year-old college graduate shows us, it is never too late to pursue your dreams.
